ABOUT

Renowned fitness professional, Kim Koelbel, has worked with leading athletes and trainers and has held noteworthy fitness titles including Ms. Fitness Eastern States Champion. She is best known for her work with Fox News and Glaceau, the makers of vitamin water and smart water.

Koelbel’s interest in fitness started in high school when she began lifting weights to improve her gymnastics performance. She later attended Towson University and graduated with a Bachelors degree in Business Administration and Marketing (and later returned for her Masters degree in Health Science). She admits, “I originally majored in dance but changed to business to be more practical.” However, Koelbel’s interest in fitness far from fizzled. After college she taught at the college level for nearly 10 years and continued to build on her knowledge of fitness. During that time her interests transitioned to the research end of nutrition and physiology. Continuing her education Koelbel became a licensed nutritionist as well as a certified interventionist from Johns Hopkins University.

During her career Koelbel achieved many successes. She has worked with professional athletes like Ray Lewis from the Baltimore Ravens, was featured in numerous magazines, and was chosen to be an Arnold Classic girl. Her proudest achievement to date is being the health educator for Fox45 in Baltimore. “My goal was to correct all the fitness and nutrition scams, and provide people with basic, good information.”  Koelbel also hosted her own show, Look Good Naked, which ran in 34 states. Some of her segments can be found on YouTube.

Currently, Koelbel is a private fitness trainer in Pleasant Valley, New York and is writing and creating segments for Fox News. Her first book will be available and she begins her Summer Shape Up Series of classes and private sessions in June.
